This privacy policy explains which data are collected, how EQUALS-EU at the Geneva Graduate Institute uses them, how they are kept secure and how the user can access, modify or delete the data. By using the EQUALS-EU, Switzerland website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and we take all reasonable precautions to safeguard personal information.

This policy notice does not cover links within this site linking to other websites. The EQUALS-EU project may use services offered by third companies. In these cases, the privacy policies of these companies are also applicable, and the user must read and be aware of the privacy policies published on their websites.


Which data? 

EQUALS-EU, Switzerland may collect the following data categories or other information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way:  

  • Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; e-mail address; connection information; browser type and version; time zone setting; operating system and platform. 

  • Session information, including pages viewed, page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page. 

Through our contact form, we may also collect: 

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number 



EQUALS-EU, Switzerland informs its users that the data they will provide will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • To attend and resolve the requests or queries required through the contact form;

  • To send newsletters on project activities that may be of interest to the user;

  • To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we may use to improve our services and reach. 

We do not process your personal data for any purpose other than the ones described here, except in the case of a legal obligation or a court order.



Our project is hosted on the platform. Your data may be stored through’s data storage, databases and the general applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

All direct payment gateways offered by and used by our group adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.


Lawful basis 

The data processing of your data by EQUALS-EU, Switzerland shall be on the following lawful basis:

  • Our legitimate interest in knowing our users and their preferences, thus ensuring the correct functioning of the platform.
